About
I'm Oleksandr. I'm building North Star and using this site as a working notebook.
I'm Oleksandr Tsepukh, co-founder and CPO at North Star in Ghent. Most of my work is making rooms, tools, and habits that help serious builders keep moving. This site is where I keep the notes, links, quotes, and references that keep coming back into conversations.
How I Work
Keep the work close enough to inspect.
I trust things more when I can see the loop: the room, the tool, the note, and the next version.
Most of my week sits around North Star: events, education, coding sessions, and the small decisions that make a community useful instead of performative.
I like tools that make work more legible. Local models, CLI workflows, agent setups, notes written while the thing is still being built. If something only works as a screenshot, I do not trust it yet.
The site is a shelf for that process. Not everything. Just the pieces I keep returning to.
Current priorities
North Star rooms
Events and sessions where builders meet, compare what works, and leave with something more concrete than motivation.
Local-first AI tools
Small models, browser runtimes, and agent workflows I can run, inspect, and improve myself.
Longevity and energy
Sleep, routines, and systems that make it easier to stay useful for a long time.
Selected Work
The work behind the notes.
North Star, sessions, and the tool experiments that keep showing up in the writing.
